I was recently diagnosed with CASPR2 autoimmune encephalopathy, experiencing manic episodes and loss of time, with visual and auditory hallucinations. During one of these episodes, I somehow broke a screw from my spinal fusion that I had placed last year. I am going to need care after my surgery, as this will result in a 7-level fusion and will be a significant financial strain on my family.
