My son has faced incredible challenges since the day he was born. He was diagnosed with HIE at birth and needed immediate cooling treatment in the NICU. Because he couldn’t breathe on his own, he was placed on a ventilator and later received a tracheostomy. He spent five long months in the NICU, and now that he’s home, he requires round-the-clock care. Every day is a new challenge, but I am so grateful for his strength and resilience.

Caring for my son means constant medical appointments, therapies, and making sure we have the supplies he needs to stay healthy and comfortable. The costs add up quickly, and it’s been difficult to keep up with bills, especially since finding steady work has been a challenge. My biggest hope is to provide a safe and supportive home environment that meets all of his needs, but that dream feels out of reach right now.
