My son, my 3-year-old baby, was attacked by an older child at the end of March. He suffered a brain bleed, a concussion, and numerous hospital visits. I was also attacked by 2 people and suffered a battery charge. We had court this morning and pled not guilty, but the judge will not let us get a public defender due to how the case is. He said we will have to come out of pocket on it.

We are $17k in hospital debt because the hospitals will not let us file it on our insurance since it was an attack. We have to have a lawyer file it against the child’s mother. We just moved last week and we cannot afford a lawyer to help us. If anyone has it in their heart to help us, please do. My son deserves justice.
