What should have been a joyous holiday season suddenly became every parent’s worst nightmare.

Just before Thanksgiving, my son Brian suffered a devastating accident at work. He was found unconscious, airlifted to a trauma center, placed in a medically induced coma, and remained in critical condition for weeks. By God’s grace, he survived- but his injuries are severe, including a traumatic brain injury that has affected his memory, speech, coordination and decision-making, a broken hip and several fractured ribs. Numerous other internal injuries.

Brian is now home recovering but requires 24/7 supervision, ongoing therapy and future surgeries. Worker’s Compensation denied his claim and insurance coverage for his hospital stay, then rehabilitation facility ended, leaving our family facing overwhelming and insurmountable medical bills, prescription costs, home care nursing costs, overdue household bills, groceries, gas, overdue tuition expenses (Brian was working and attending ASU at night to obtain his Bachelors Degree), and the terrifying risk of losing our home where Brian is recovering.

As a single mother, I am supporting Brian, his son, and our household while continuing to work. We are struggling, and asking for prayers, donations and especially for help in sharing this fundraiser. Every share truly makes a difference.
