Support for my son Ohagi's Continued Care After Heart Transplant

My son received the incredible gift of a heart transplant due to complications from COVID—a life-saving miracle that we are forever grateful for. While the transplant marked a new beginning, the journey did not end there. My son has dealt with rejection issues and continues to require ongoing medical care, monitoring, and support to maintain his health and quality of life. Unfortunately, he continues to encounter health challenges including diabetes and kidney failure in the recovery process.

The reality is that post-transplant life comes with significant and ongoing financial challenges. Between the high cost of living expenses, continued treatment, frequent travel to and from the hospital, and unreimbursed medical costs, the financial burden has become overwhelming. Despite our best efforts, these expenses continue to add up and place strain on our ability to manage everything on our own.
