On April 8th, Melodee was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain and was diagnosed with extensive necrotizing pancreatitis, along with ascites and two small pleural effusions. Since then, she has faced multiple life-threatening complications, including going septic more than once, and ongoing struggles to stabilize her heart rate and blood pressure.

She is in extreme pain and remains hospitalized, with doctors expecting her to stay for several more weeks. While there is a small sign of hope—her white blood cell count has finally started to come down—she still has a very long and uncertain road to recovery ahead.

Melodee is a devoted wife and mother to three young daughters. She and her husband, Jake, have always worked hard to provide for their family, living paycheck to paycheck. Now, with Melodee unable to work and additional daycare costs so Jake can continue working, the financial burden has become overwhelming.

Jake is doing everything he can to care for their girls and keep things together at home, but the loss of Melodee’s income, combined with mounting medical bills and everyday expenses, has put their family in a very difficult position.

Beyond the physical battle she is fighting, the emotional weight of worrying about her family has been incredibly hard on Melodee during this already critical time.
