My sister has a huge heart and has always been my parents’ right hand. Whenever they need anything, she’s there without hesitation. A couple of years ago, when my mom had a fall and broke her knee, my sister took time off work to help her recover. Then, last March, our dad was diagnosed with carcinoma. Once again, my sister stepped up, taking time off to be by his side through every step of the process. The doctors were able to remove a 20-pound tumor from our dad’s leg, but just two months ago, new tumors appeared on his lungs and kidney. Our dad has now been in the hospital for two weeks, and my sister has been there every day, offering love and support.
This week, my sister lost her job. Despite her own challenges, she continues to put our family first, caring for our parents and making sure they have everything they need. She lives close to them with her husband and six-year-old daughter, and her presence has been a lifeline for all of us, especially since I live far away and can’t always be there in person.
Now, it’s her turn to be supported. The funds raised will help cover her family’s living expenses while she navigates this difficult time and continues to care for our parents. My sister is truly amazing, and I hope you’ll consider helping her as she has helped so many others. Any support you can give will make a difference and mean the world to our family.
