On Tuesday, December 16, my sister's life changed forever. Her children's father was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident involving a box truck. He was declared deceased only moments after arriving on scene, leaving behind my beautiful niece and nephew, Freyja (8) and Bjorn (2, turning 3 in February). The loss has been devastating for their little family, and my heart aches for the pain they are experiencing.

I'm creating this GoFundMe in hopes of giving my sister a little help and the opportunity to take some time off work to properly grieve with her children. She had to return to work less than a week after the accident, with only a few days to comfort Freyja and Bjorn. I want to help give her a cushion so she can focus on healing and being there for her kids without the immediate pressure of bills piling up.

The funds raised will go toward covering essential bills and providing counseling for my sister, who does not have medical coverage herself—only the children are covered.
