Seven days ago, I underwent major surgery to remove a mass from between my spinal cord and brain. The weeks leading up to the procedure were incredibly challenging, as I was unable to work for a month and a half due to my health. This unexpected time away from work has left me struggling to keep up with my rent, car payments, and mounting medical bills.
