In 2023 our lives changed forever. A tragic house fire left my dad injured, took my grandma from us, and just months later my mom was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer- triple-negative. We held on to hope through her mastectomy, chemo, and radiation. But now, two years later, the cancer has returned and spread to her liver, spine, and bones. She's been placed on hospice care, with just weeks left with us.

On the very same day we received this heartbreaking news, we also found out my dad has an inoperable abdominal aortic aneurysm, along with a stage 2 prostate cancer diagnosis. Treatment would be too dangerous for his fragile health -and so we wait, cherishing each day we still have with him.

I'm Jade, their daughter and now their full-time caregiver. My siblings and I are doing everything we can to care for them, but I've had to step away from work -and without income, the weight of medical bills, daily needs, and funeral expenses is simply too much. My parents lost everything in the fire. They've never had the chance to rebuild.

We've searched for every kind of assistance, but many programs either won't help or can't move fast enough. I never imagined we'd be here again, asking for help.
