My mom has been extremely sick for three weeks, battling severe double pneumonia and an autoimmune inflammatory disease. Her condition has worsened to the point where she is now intubated and on dialysis because her kidneys have shut down. She is receiving care in a hospital two hours away from home, and it has been an incredibly difficult time for our family.

My dad has been doing everything he can to stay by her side, but the costs are adding up quickly. He’s paying out of pocket for hotels, food, gas, and other living expenses just to be near her while she fights for her life. I want my father to be able to focus solely on our mother and not having to worry about finances as well.
