Today, our family went through something we never imagined would happen. My mom and bonus dad’s home of 15 years burned down.

By the grace of God, everyone made it out safely. My parents, my two younger sisters (13 and 18), and their five little chihuahuas all got out. For that alone, we are beyond thankful.

Unfortunately, they lost almost everything in the fire. Their home, clothes, furniture, and the many things you collect over a lifetime are gone.

My parents are 71 and 73 and had built their life in that home. My two sisters were living there as well, and now they are all suddenly without a place to call home.

Anyone who knows my parents knows they would never ask for help themselves, but right now they truly need it. The donations from this fundraiser will help them with immediate needs like temporary housing, clothing, food, and replacing basic necessities while they try to figure out the next steps.

If you’re able to donate, any amount helps and means more than we can say. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this fundraiser would also mean a lot to our family.

Most of all, we are just grateful that everyone is safe.
