Support For My Parents After Devastating House Fire

Hi I’m Amanda and I’m raising money for my parents Kathy and Chris Fox. On 5/15/2024 while lying in bed, lightning struck their home causing an attic fire. The fire spread so quickly that their home is basically a complete loss if not a complete rebuild. We are blessed and thankful that they made it out alive with their dog Sam, but devastated at where this leaves them.

They have nothing but a $600 card from Red Cross. No clothes. No food. No toiletries. No dog food. NOTHING.

My step dad is disabled so my mom is the income earner. They’re at a hotel right now but once the funds run out (probably a few days) they have no where to go. We have no living family in the area that would be able to give them a place to stay. They need funds for food, clothing, a safe place to stay, dog food, etc.

All of my dad’s belongings are gone(he passed when we were teens)

My daughter’s artwork, stuffed animals, memories are gone.

You think it won’t happen to you until it does and the emotional damage is as catastrophic as the financial one.
