As of 2/21/26, he is in good spirits, his mind was not affected by the stroke just his body. He is currently communicating via lip reading and a letter board. He has a trach that we are hoping he will able to speak with soon. We are currently looking into rehabilitation facilities for him as his next steps. Please keep sending prayers!
My dad has always been the strongest person I know. He’s the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back and drop anything he’s doing to help someone in need. Both of my parents have lived their lives with selflessness and generosity, always putting others before themselves. Now, they are facing a situation that has turned their world upside down, and they need the support they have so often given to others.
Recently, my dad suffered a rare mid-brain stem stroke, which has left him a quadriplegic. This sudden and devastating event has changed everything for our family. My mom, who is already unable to work due to her own disability, is doing her best to care for my dad, but the challenges are overwhelming. The medical bills are piling up, and the cost of daily living and household expenses is more than we can manage on our own.
