My older brother was recently involved in a severe car accident that was completely not his fault, and the injuries he suffered are life-changing. He sustained multiple serious injuries, including a shattered pelvis, and now faces a long and painful recovery that will leave him unable to walk for weeks, and possibly months. Before this accident, he had already endured an incredibly difficult period in his life. He had struggled financially, experienced homelessness, and spent months working hard to rebuild stability for himself and his son. Just recently, things were finally beginning to turn around. He had purchased a car, secured a new construction job, and was doing everything he could to create a stable future for both of them. In an instant, everything changed. His vehicle was completely totaled in the accident, and he is now facing overwhelming medical expenses, hospital bills, rehabilitation costs, and a loss of income during his recovery. Because of the severity of his injuries, he will also need ongoing assistance with transportation, daily needs, and basic living expenses while he heals. We are starting this fundraiser to help relieve the immediate financial burden and give him the time and support he needs to recover without the constant stress of how he will provide for himself and his son.
