My 13-year-old nephew was recently the victim of gun violence and was shot seven times. Thankfully, he is now stable, but he faces a very long road to recovery. His mother, my sister, has not left his side at the hospital, missing work to care for him and support him through every moment. This has put a huge financial strain on her, especially as she has other children at home and bills that continue to add up.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping my sister and her family with their most urgent needs. This includes covering household expenses, putting food on the table, paying utilities, and making sure she has gas to travel back and forth to the hospital. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease their burden and allow my nephew’s mother to focus on his recovery without the added stress of financial worries.
