Honoring a Lifetime of Hard Work — Supporting My Mom’s Next Chapter
My mom has spent her entire life working hard for everyone around her (mostly me) She raised me as a single parent, often working two and sometimes even three jobs at a time. Even when we struggled financially, she somehow managed to give me the best life she could — including sending me to private schools because she wanted me to have opportunities she never had.
She’s always been the kind of person who shows up, works hard, and does whatever it takes.
Now my mom is 70 years old, and after nearly 30 years working at Home Depot, her body is telling her it’s time for something less physically demanding. She recently left her job and is actively looking for a position that fits her age and abilities — ideally something she’d truly enjoy, like cooking at a nursing home or assisted living center. She’s had an interview and is waiting to hear back, but in the meantime, she still has bills and expenses to manage.
She used part of her retirement savings years ago during a difficult period, so she doesn’t have the financial cushion she deserves. And although I wish I could fully support her during this transition, the cost of living has made that difficult for me as well.
I’m creating this fund to give her a little breathing room — just enough to ease the pressure while she finds a gentler job that matches her needs. My goal is $8000.00 which will help cover essential bills and give her the peace of mind she has more than earned.
If you’re able to help, even a small amount means the world. And if you can’t, sharing this fundraiser is just as appreciated.
Thank you for supporting a woman who has spent her whole life working hard to give me the best life I could imagine❤️ It’s her turn now to have some help ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to read this about my mom. She is the world to me and I just want her to be happy❤️
If you can help I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!
