My mom has always been a caring and supportive person, both to our family and to those around her. She worked at a nursing home, dedicating herself to helping others, even as she faced her own health challenges. Recently, she had to undergo two knee replacement surgeries. As she was preparing for her second surgery and leave from work, she was unexpectedly let go from her job. This sudden loss was devastating and led her into a deep depression. She began drinking heavily and, at her lowest point, attempted to take her own life. Thankfully, she survived and is now in recovery, receiving treatment for alcohol addiction and focusing on her mental health.

During this difficult time, my stepdad has been the only source of income for their household. My mom is actively looking for work, but the bills and living expenses continue to pile up. They are doing everything they can to stay afloat, but right now, they need a helping hand to get through this tough period.

My mom and stepdad have always been the type of people to help others whenever they could. Now, they could use some support themselves.
