My mom has always been the heart of our family, but this past year has been incredibly hard for her. She’s had to go through multiple surgeries and spent 16 days in the hospital starting January 2. Since May of last year, she’s been off work due to another injury prior to this one, and although she was working from home, her hours were cut significantly. As of January 1st, she can’t walk at all. She’s home now, but every day is a struggle as she tries to recover and regain her strength.
The financial strain has been overwhelming. The funds from this fundraiser will help us cover her medical bills, physical therapy, and the changes we need to make at home so she can get around safely. We also have five dogs to care for, and with my sister needing surgery on February 11th, I’ll be the only one working—a minimum wage fast food job—while I’m still in high school. It’s hard to keep up with daily expenses, let alone the debt that’s built up from all these challenges.
I would love to get my mom even a little bit out of debt. Anything you can give would help us so much, and if you can’t donate, your prayers mean the world to us. Thank you for reading our story and for any support you can offer. It truly means everything to our family right now.
