My mother was diagnosed with Graves’ disease about a month ago, and since then, our family’s world has been turned upside down. She has always been an amazing mother and grandmother, caring for everyone around her, but now she’s the one who needs help. After missing a lot of work due to her illness, she was recently admitted to the hospital, and we’re not sure how long she’ll need to stay. My dad has also missed work so he can be by her side, which has made things even more difficult for our family.

With both of my parents missing work, it’s been a real struggle to keep up with everyday expenses. We’re having a hard time paying bills, buying groceries, and even covering gas money to travel back and forth to the hospital. It’s been overwhelming, but we’re doing everything we can to support each other and stay hopeful.
