I'm not usually the type to seek donations or even help. I usually try to figure it all out on my own, but I'm not sure where else to turn this time. I'm making this to help with funeral expenses for my mother. After an 8-month-long battle with stage 4 lung cancer that spread to her brain and her bones, after never-ending ER visits and sleepless nights, she's reached the last few days of her fight.

My mom was a very charismatic woman, always taking care of others and putting herself last. She was my best friend and my hero, the type of mom that I could talk to about anything, the one who'd be there no matter what, no matter what time. She always made sure we had everything we needed and a little of what we wanted, but we grew up on government assistance and lived paycheck to paycheck. She tried school and different jobs, but nothing really got us ahead. Since my early teens, I stepped in to help financially, and we did things together, survived, and made ends meet together.

Now she'll be gone soon, and I have nothing saved, already in debt. She's leaving behind myself, a 24-year-old female, and my 31-year-old brother (unemployed), and we don't really know where to turn without her. I'm employed full-time, but I've had to take quite a bit of time off work to get things situated (hospice, etc.). The total cost of just a basic cremation, an urn, death certificate, etc., is $1,595. I'm asking for a little extra to maybe include a viewing and whatever other expenses. If you can't donate, just a share would be appreciated, and thank you for even reading.
