Story:
For over a year, my mom was seeing a specialist for constant abdominal pain. She was told it was just gastritis, while a cancerous tumor was growing in her pancreas without being detected.

One day, she fainted and had to be rushed to the ER. She was hospitalized for weeks while doctors ran test after test without giving her clear answers. After two weeks, they finally told her she needed a biopsy—but there was only one doctor in her city who could perform it, and the wait was going to be another two weeks.

At that point, I knew we couldn’t wait any longer. I immediately flew to be with her and made the decision to bring her to San Antonio, where I live. I did everything I could to find better care and better options for her. We brought her to Methodist Hospital of San Antonio, and within a week she finally had the biopsy and the scans she needed.

Now we have answers—but they are heartbreaking. My mom has been diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer, and it has already spread significantly.

My mom is one of the strongest, hardest-working women I know. She has always been the one helping others and never asking for anything in return. Asking for help is not easy for her, but this is bigger than all of us. She and her husband have been trying to face this alone, and I couldn’t allow that to continue. I brought them to live with me so they wouldn’t have to worry about having a roof over their heads during this fight.

Unfortunately, bills don’t stop. The bank doesn’t pause. Life keeps going even when cancer shows up. My mom still has expenses back home, including lot rent for her mobile home, which she has put up for sale, and medications she needs for pain. On top of that, there are medical costs and daily living expenses that continue to add up.

My biggest wish is for my mom to focus on fighting this with peace in her heart instead of worrying about how she’s going to pay her bills.

This is my beautiful momma, fighting pancreatic cancer with the same strength and grace she's always shown me. She's the heart of our family the sweetest, most welcoming soul you'll ever meet. The one who raised us to be strong, loving, respectful, and peaceful, no matter what life throws our way. We've always fought through the hard times together, and we're not stopping now. Mami, you're the world to me. After so many years, I finally have you back in my life, and I want more time. time to catch up, to be the better son you deserve, the one who holds your hand like you always held mine when I was growing up. I remember us dancing in the living room, laughing, just pure happiness filling the air. Those memories keep me going, and I need so many more with you. I can't lose you yet. We need to fight this together, just like you taught me. You're my angel on earth, and I'm praying for miracles, strength, and healing every single day. If you've met her, you know her light. If you haven't, trust me she's one of a kind. Please send all the love, prayers, positive vibes, and shares you can. We need every bit of it.

We will be forever grateful for any support you can give—whether it’s a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this page. My mom will be told about every single person who helps her. She means the world to me. She made me who I am today, and I love her more than words can express. I just hope it’s not too late for me to be the son I’ve always wanted to be for her.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
