On Sunday, October 5th, 2025, my mom passed away after a long battle with many health issues. My mom did not have any life insurance, so the burden of these expenses is fully on my brother and me. I have been out of work for the last 3 months so I could be home to take care of my mom as her health declined. We do have money in savings, but we are about $4k short of what we need for everything.
