My mom was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer in early November and had to undergo a lumpectomy. After her surgery, the doctors sent off blood work to test for the genetics of the cancer and the percentage rate of a recurrence. The results came back with an extremely high risk, which means she now faces six months of intense chemotherapy and radiation treatments, along with copayments and other expenses. There will be days when she is unable to work due to sickness from treatments, and our family is surviving on just one income, making the financial strain overwhelming.

The funds raised here will go directly toward her treatments, medical bills, and the travel expenses for getting to and from the facilities she needs. While she is out of commission, every bit of support will help ease the burden and allow her to focus on healing instead of worrying about how to make ends meet.

My mom has always taken care of others—family, friends, siblings, and anyone who needed help. There’s never been a time when someone called and she wasn’t there, always putting people before herself. That’s just her heart. She has never asked for help in any hardship she’s faced, and even now, she puts all her trust in God to provide or find a way.
