My mother has always been the one to help others, but now she is facing the toughest challenge of her life. On 4/12/26, Monica suffered a sudden brain aneurysm that ruptured, and she had to be rushed to the emergency room by ambulance. By noon that same day, she was already in open brain surgery. The healthcare team acted quickly, but her recovery will be long and difficult. She is expected to remain in the ICU for around three weeks, and every day is critical as her brain heals from this traumatic experience.

We have also learned that my mother has another aneurysm that will need to be removed as soon as she is strong enough to undergo another surgery. This adds even more uncertainty and urgency to her situation, as she must heal from her first surgery before facing another major procedure.

We are reaching out to friends, family, and kind strangers for help. My mother has always been there for others, and now she needs our support more than ever. We ask for your thoughts and prayers as she fights through this dangerous period.
