Support for my mom Dee Dee Ledward's End of Life Care

Hey friends and family, I've started this GoFundMe to raise funds for my mom Dee Dee Ledward's end of life expenses.

As many of you know, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma (brain cancer) back in 2022. Through brain surgery, hospitalizations, chemo, radiation, and lots of treatments, my mom has been through so much these last few years. I'm grateful for the time she was given with these treatments, but unfortunately her recurring tumor has not been responding to further treatments.

My mom has been declining very quickly in the last month. Right now the focus is hospice, keeping her as comfortable as possible until it is time.

My mom has expressed to me numerous times in the past when she was more well that she does not wish to spend the end of her life in a hospital or a nursing facility. I would like to honor her wishes as long as I can and be with her at home where she is comfortable to care for her.

Friends and family, I am asking for donations to help cover my mom's end of life expenses and be able to afford to take some time off work to care for her. Without this support, my mom cannot care for herself anymore and would need to be in a facility against her wishes.

For anyone who would like to visit or call, she is currently not able to text or call on her own anymore but is able to answer calls with assistance and have brief conversations.
