8 years ago I was blessed beyond imagine by a selfless donor who gave me their lungs after fighting for 22 years. I’ve tried to make the best of these past 8 years. I went to school, became an aunt, and advocated for organ donation. Unfortunately, the medications I take to maintain my new lungs has caused my kidneys to fail. I now need a kidney transplant. I will be undergoing the transplant at Vanderbilt University Medical Center with hopefully a living donor. With that being said, I will not be able to work for quite a few weeks. I will have no way to pay any of my living expenses nor bills. I’m so grateful for the people in my life that have helped so far but any donations would be truly appreciated. I’ve come so far with my new life and it being ripped away has been hard to come to terms with. Whatever happens, I know God will guide me and be my strength through this extremely hard time. I have no intentions of ever giving up
