My husband was injured in a serious accident at work on Thursday, November 13th, when a 2000lb steel sheet fell on him. The impact caused multiple injuries and fractures, and he underwent surgery the following day to have a rod and screws placed in his femur bone. We are now preparing for another surgery on December 1st to put a plate and screws in his foot. While we are grateful to be home, the recovery process is going to be long and challenging for both of us.
Since the accident, my husband has needed around-the-clock care just to manage daily activities and move from one spot to another. This has changed our lives dramatically, and we are struggling to keep up with our monthly bills and household expenses. We depended on both of our incomes to support us, but now we only have one, which makes it difficult to cover groceries, utilities, and other essentials. The financial strain is adding to the stress of his recovery, and we are doing our best to stay positive and hopeful.
We are not the type of people who usually ask for help, and it is difficult for us to reach out in this way. We are truly sorry to have to ask, but we are reaching out to our community for support during this difficult time. Any help you can offer will make a meaningful difference as we work through the challenges ahead. Your kindness and generosity will help us focus on my husband’s healing and keep our household afloat. Thank you for considering a donation and for sharing our story with others.
