My husband has always been a healthy, active young man, so what happened to our family was completely unexpected. Just days ago, he was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. Within 30 minutes of arriving, doctors discovered four holes in his colon and intestinal wall, forcing them to perform emergency surgery to remove his entire colon. He is now in the ICU on life-support, battling severe sepsis and a new infection in his right lung. The speed and seriousness of his illness have left us in shock, and we are doing everything we can to support him through this fight for his life.

We have two small children together, and my husband also adopted my older son, so our family is feeling the weight of this crisis in every way. The funds raised here will help with gas so I can be by his side at the hospital, support our children, and cover whatever medical or general expenses come our way. Every little bit helps as we try to keep our family together and strong during this incredibly difficult time.
