Our journey over the past several months has been more complicated than we ever imagined. Darrell underwent surgery, and while we are incredibly thankful the cancer was removed, his recovery has not been simple. He has experienced multiple complications since surgery and is still undergoing testing and follow-up appointments to determine the next steps. Because of this, he has not been cleared to return to work and has no return-to-work date at this time. We are continuing to travel to appointments, manage medications, and navigate the uncertainty that comes with waiting for answers. This season has stretched us physically, emotionally, and financially. We’ve updated our fundraiser goal to reflect the ongoing medical needs and the continued loss of income while Darrell recovers.
