My husband and I are facing one of the most challenging times of our lives. My husband was diagnosed with stage four Glioblastoma brain cancer Christmas 2025. He had emergency brain surgery New Year’s Day. Now he is going to begin radiation and chemotherapy treatments five days a week, starting tomorrow, February 10. Because of the intensity of his treatment schedule, he is unable to work right now, and I want to take time off my job to be by his side and support him through every step of this journey.

The financial strain of missing work while still needing to cover our rent and basic living expenses has been overwhelming.
