Support for My Grandmother’s Recovery & Justice

My grandmother, who is like a mother to me, was struck by an F150 on November 17th, 2025, around 5:15 pm while crossing E Milwaukee and Suffolk. She was simply trying to catch the next bus home after picking up allergy medicine and cat treats. It was a bit dark out, but not too dark to see. She was wearing her light grey coat, her red, green, and blue patterned Dave Matthews bag, blue jeans, and white New Balances. The driver said he did not see her and called it an accident, but that road is a straight shot and I truly don’t believe he was paying attention. In an instant, everything changed. She is now in the ICU at UW Health, fighting for her life with brain bleeding and a brain stem injury. The doctors are doing everything they can, but her future is uncertain. We don't know if she will ever function normally again, or even survive this tragedy. Our family is devastated and trying to stay strong for her, but the road ahead is overwhelming.

The funds raised will go directly to my grandmother and our family. They will help cover her mounting hospital bills, the cost of gas and travel so we can be by her side and care for her, and legal expenses as we try to find a good lawyer to seek justice. The person responsible for this has not been reprimanded, and we want to do everything we can to fight for her.

Please share this fundraiser with others—any support, no matter how small, will make a difference. We don't know what the future holds, but we know it isn't going to be easy. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this difficult time.
