Hi everyone,

I've never done this before and am so grateful that you're even taking the time to read this. I have never met my mom's side of the family before, but my mom found out right before Christmas that her mother had just passed away. She didn't want to tell me because she didn't want to "ruin" the holidays, but also didn't want anyone else to feel like they had to take financial responsibility knowing that my mom is unable to.

My mom has sacrificed everything for my sister and I to have a life here, being the only one from her family to live in the states, and as a single mother. She hadn't gone back to see her family back in the Philippines since I was born until she saved enough to be able to afford to visit 2 years ago. During the 26 years of not seeing her family, she missed the passing of her father. It breaks my heart to think of her missing her mom's funeral as well.

So I started this to raise funds for her family to be able to afford for my grandma's body to be released from the morgue, to have a funeral, and hopefully for a flight for my mom to be able to attend and see her family because I know she's just trying to be strong and would never ask for help.

I know this a lot especially after the holidays, and so so so grateful for literally any kind of help at all. Love you all, thank you so much
