My grandma has been my biggest source of love and support throughout my life, and now it’s my turn to be there for her when she needs it most.
She is currently battling rapidly progressing dementia and now requires 24/7 care. Her condition has declined quickly, and she can no longer live independently. Right now, her care costs $4,500 per month and may soon increase to $7,000 as her needs grow.
As I type this out, she just landed in the hospital. She fell and has a hip fracture and will be getting surgery very soon. This is a big fear for the family because we're scared she's going to be bedridden for the rest of her life.
A few years ago, her son took $96,000 from her savings with the intention of returning it. Unfortunately, those funds were never repaid, and her account has now been completely drained. She currently has less than $300 to her name.
Our family has been doing everything we can to cover her expenses, but we are not financially well-off, and we are reaching our limits. Without help, her remaining funds will soon be gone.
We are asking for support to ensure she can continue receiving the care, dignity, and comfort she deserves during this difficult time. Any amount, no matter how small, truly makes a difference.
