Support for My Friend Jason's Memorial Expenses

Once before, this community came together to help my dear friend Debbie Aldy successfully complete her cancer treatment.

Now, Debbie and her husband Shannon are facing one of the most difficult things imaginable, the loss of a child. Their son Jason passed unexpectedly and very suddenly at home of suspected heart issues. Be they 3 years old, 23, or 43, they are still your baby… your child.

I have known Jason and his sister Lauren most of their lives now. Jason was a native of the Arlington area, having been born at home in Kennedale, and growing up and working in Arlington. He loved books (he worked at Half Price Books) and was a definite movie buff who could almost always name a title or rattle off a quote with the barest of hints. He was a huge fan of the local music scene, especially some of the more obscure genres like Noise, even briefly hosting several events at his own venue back in the day.

Jason always had a smile for me, and I loved his quirky sense of humor. He was a good man who had navigated some tough times and was making his way back to a great life with his loved ones.

I would like to honor and celebrate Jason’s life by helping his family cover some of the remaining expenses for his funeral and memorial service.

If you are also moved to do so, I know how much it will mean to his family. (All funds will be going directly to the Aldy family in Arlington, Texas, though I am organizing this from my home in Erie, Pennsylvania.)
