We started the GoFundMe for unexpected expenses from my father's passing.

My name is Valon, his youngest son. My father got diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer back in early October, and things went downhill quickly. In the beginning of December, he was in the hospital up until his final days, where he requested to go home and pass away peacefully. That day happened on January 2nd, where he took his final breath smiling. His last wish was to be buried back in our country of Kosovo.

These past 3 months, we as a family haven't been able to work due to the cancer constantly causing him pain and needing our assistance. He didn't speak English well, so we were at the hospital day in and day out with him to help whenever he was uncomfortable or needed help understanding what the doctors said.

He left his wife, my mother, alongside me, and my two other siblings, my sister and my older brother. We came from a war-torn country in Kosovo, and he made sure to work hard to provide us with everything we needed. He was always a loving and caring person. He saved so many lives during the war in our country in 1999 because he was a police officer then. We had to start over in America in 1999 as refugee's and he worked whatever jobs he could to provide for us.
