Support Tom Burns as He Recovers from Unexpected Surgeries

On January 6th, what started as a routine check-up for my father, Thomas Burns turned into something far more serious. During his visit, concerns arose that required immediate additional testing at another hospital. After undergoing a CT scan, we learned he has an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) along with multiple smaller aneurysms in each leg.

These aneurysms require urgent attention, and the next step will be an open surgical procedure to remove the damaged sections of his aorta and replace them with a graft. This is a significant surgery, requiring his abdomen to be opened and repaired. The recovery process is expected to take 2-3 months, during which time my father will be unable to work.

Anyone who knows my father knows he’s not one to sit still or ask for help, but this time, we need to rally around him. The extended time off work, combined with the medical expenses, creates an overwhelming financial burden during an already challenging time.
