Our father passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 6th, leaving our family heartbroken and unprepared for the difficult days ahead. To anyone who knew him, he wasn’t just a dad — he was a hero, a helper, and the person you called when something broke, went missing, or just needed a little bit of magic to make it right. We always called him MacGyver because he truly could fix or build anything with his bare hands and that creative spark he somehow carried everywhere.

He lived his entire life in service to others. In the mountains of New Hampshire, he served as the head of a local search and rescue team and volunteered as a firefighter — always the first to jump into action when someone needed help. He never hesitated, never asked for recognition, and never wanted anything in return. If someone was in danger, he was already halfway out the door.

He gave so much of himself to others — to his community, his coworkers, his family, and even strangers he never met. Now, in the middle of our grief, we’re facing unexpected expenses that we simply weren’t prepared for. We’re setting up this GoFundMe to help cover funeral costs, travel, and the arrangements needed to honor him in the way he deserves.
