My father was always a good man, taking care of our grandmother while my brother and I lived our own lives. He was the kind of person who put family first, always doing his best to support us, even when things were difficult. Recently, he has been suffering from end-stage cancer, and the doctors have told us there is nothing more they can do. It’s heartbreaking to watch someone you love go through so much, but we are grateful for the time we had together. My father saw me finish college and watched my brother get married. He won’t be able to see me get married, but I know he will be watching over us from heaven, free from pain and at peace with God. We all love him very much and wish he could stay with us, as family should. But sometimes, life takes turns we can’t control. Dad always did the best he could, and even with his mistakes, he meant well. We will always love you, Dad, and cherish the memories we shared. Now, as we face the difficult task of arranging his funeral, we are reaching out for help. Funeral expenses are expensive, and it’s a challenge for our family to manage on our own.
