My father tragically lost his life at age 47 after a catastrophic car crash caused by another driver’s negligence. He suffered life-threatening injuries and, despite every effort, could no longer breathe on his own.

He leaves behind his mother, wife, two sisters, and two children who are both in school. As the breadwinner, he provided for his family and supported his wife. His sudden passing has left us not only grieving, but also facing overwhelming financial challenges.

Recently, my father was making a real effort to be more present as a dad—spending more time with us, sharing childhood photos, and sending songs that reminded him of his family. Although me and him had a complicated relationship, he always kept me and my family at the center of his values. He has left behind a lot of reasons to be missed.

We are now trying to cover the costs of a memorial, burial, and headstone. My family is doing everything we can to help, but there are still many expenses left. Insurance will only cover a small portion, and we do not have health care. My father was on disability at the time of his death and was supposed to start a new job the day after his accident.
