My father was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on New Year's Day, and our world changed overnight. Since then, he has faced a series of serious complications, including internal bleeding that led to an emergency room visit and several days in the ICU. After a 20-day hospital stay, he was transferred to inpatient rehab, but due to insurance complications he's been discharged before he is truly ready. This has left our family scrambling to prepare his home for his return, making sure it is safe and comfortable for him as he continues his fight.
We are working to outfit his house with essential equipment like handrails and a better suited bed, and we are facing mounting medical bills, the cost of medicine, and the need for ongoing care. As his condition progresses, we know we will also need to plan for hospice and comfort measures to ensure his dignity and peace at the end of life. The financial burden is overwhelming, and we are reaching out for help from our community during this incredibly difficult time.
We are deeply grateful for any support, whether it is a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing our story. Going through something like this is harder than we ever imagined, and we have learned just how much it means to have others stand with us. Your kindness and prayers for healing and comfort mean the world to our family right now. Thank you for being here for us.
