My father is currently facing one of the toughest battles of his life: stage 4 small non cell lung cancer. For the past four weeks, he has been traveling every single day to Johnstown for his radiation treatments. The daily trips are taking a toll, not just physically, but financially as well. The cost of fuel and travel is adding up quickly, and funds are running low as he continues his fight. Despite these challenges, he remains determined to keep up with his treatments, hoping for better days ahead.

Anyone who knows my father—or even those who may not—knows that he has always been the first to lend a hand. He’s worked on countless cars for friends and neighbors, given away what he could, and never hesitated to help someone in need. 'Stranger' was never in his vocabulary. As his children, we do our best to support him, but we come from humble beginnings and can only do so much. He asked me to create this fundraiser, and that alone speaks volumes, as he’s never been one to ask for help.
