My father-in-law was in a car accident on I-75 in Sarasota on Wednesday, Dec 3rd around 5 pm. He was working and got hit by an SUV. We don't know the full accident details as we have not received any updates from law enforcement, but he is in very critical condition. His face, back, neck, chest, ribs, and pelvis are broken; his lung collapsed, his right artery is damaged, and 90 percent of his brain is damaged. He recently had a stroke last night. When he got to the hospital on Wednesday, they did a 3-hour brain surgery. When they transported him to the ICU a couple of hours later, he started bleeding from his pelvis area, so they took him back in for surgery, which lasted another two hours. The doctors are not giving us hope but are trying the best they can to see if he'll survive. All money will be going towards his medical bills and home bills. We don't know how long he will be here.
