My name is Vivian Valencia. I am raising money for my dad’s recovery and beyond so he can get his will to live again. He needs help to be able to walk again and to be able to keep his home. If he can't get caught up on his bills, he will lose his house.

My dad is 79 and an Army Veteran. He lives in Moreno Valley, CA.

He's a man of great pride and making this decision to let us reach out for help was very difficult.

In 2020 he lost his best friend and life-Iong partner, our mom after a long fight. After her passing he gradually struggled financially. In 2023 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had to have the Whipple surgery, which required him to alter his diet. This diet has become more costly, at times he would pass on eating so he could pay his mortgage and bills. He lives in fear every day of the cancer returning.

Then in 2024 he became paralyzed and couldn't walk. Due to Spinal Cord being flattened somehow, he had to have back-to-back spinal surgeries on his neck and mid back. After Physical Therapy, my sister temporarily moved in, to care for him. He has not gained use of his legs yet and has minimal mobility in his arms. My sister has had to buy quite of bit of equipment to help him with his continued physical therapy needed to regain his strength in his arms and legs. My sister noticed he wasn't eating so he could pay his mortgage and bills. She has struggled financially to help him, but it has become too costly for her as she is falling behind on her household expenses now too. I have helped as much as could, I do not have any income at this moment, so I am no longer able to help him at this time.

The summer months came with temperatures in the 90 and 100 degrees, he needs his A/C to stay comfortable and heating when the Winter comes along. He has become depressed and worries every day about his health and how he is going to get caught up on his bills. He is fighting to live but some days it seems like he's giving up hope.

Any amount will help him even $1. Please help out my dad on his recovery to get back to walking and not worry about possibly losing his home. He will be recovering for some time; he has a long road ahead of him.

With the money raised, he will be able to afford the equipment needed for his physical and mental recovery. It will also help he get caught up on his house payments.
