My name is Stephanie and I am a single mom fighting for more time with my children. I have been diagnosed with Lambert Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (LEMS) and Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC), which has made it impossible for me to work. My children have stepped up to support me, but the financial strain has been overwhelming for all of us. Just last week, I was rushed to the hospital with a tear in my large intestine, adding to the challenges we already face.
Because I also have Lupus, chemotherapy is not an option for me, and my doctors have told me I am now considered terminal, with only a few months left to live. They want to start brain radiation therapy, but after much research, I want to pursue different infusion therapies that my insurance will not cover. On top of the medical costs, I need help with daily living expenses and transportation. My car was hit and totaled earlier this year, and my daughter’s car recently broke down, making it even harder to get to my appointments.
Every day, my muscles weaken, and it becomes more difficult to walk and get around. I am only 53 years old, and I want to live to see my daughters walk down the aisle and hold my first grandchild. My youngest daughter is just 18, and I am not ready to leave her behind. I am reaching out for help because we are struggling to get by, and any support would mean the world to us. Thank you for reading our story and considering a donation to help us through this incredibly hard time.
