My family is facing an unimaginable loss after my son Emari tragically drowned at High Meadows during a school field trip. This has been a devastating experience, and we are struggling to cope with the emotional and financial challenges that have come with it. Losing a child is something no parent should ever have to endure, and the pain we are feeling is overwhelming.

Emari was a wizard of math, solving problems in his head and always getting the correct answers. He loved to cook, play basketball and football, and was the undisputed Fortnite king. Emari told me he loved me every day, all day, as many times as he saw me. He was a great peer leader, encouraging other kids that it was cool to be smart and kind. He kept his room spotless and was an amazing child—the best any parent could ask for. Emari loved his dad deeply, and his dad made sure he never needed for anything. He got his first Xbox at age five and moved up to playing on a PC, always enjoying gaming together.

We are raising funds to help cover the costs of funeral and burial expenses, as well as counseling and other support for our family.
