On May 25th, my daughter’s life was changed forever. Our home was shot at, and my 12-year-old daughter was struck in the abdomen and hand. She is currently hospitalized and will be for a while as she begins her long road to recovery. As a mother, it’s heartbreaking to see her in pain and not be able to take it away.

Right now, I am doing my best to care for her and my two other children. I am unable to work while I travel back and forth to St. Louis to be by her side. The expenses are adding up quickly—between travel costs, food, and making sure my family is supported during this difficult time, it’s become overwhelming.
