My daughter and I are facing an incredibly difficult time right now. She is currently in the ICU at Minnesota’s Children, fighting botulism poisoning caused by the ByHeart formula recall. The doctors have told us that her recovery will take many weeks, possibly even months, and we are doing everything we can to stay strong for her during this long journey.

Being far from home has made things even more challenging. I am breastfeeding and need to make sure I have enough food to keep my strength up for my daughter. My husband is traveling back and forth from our home, which is three hours away, so he can be with us as much as possible while also working to support our family. The costs of food, staying near the hospital, and travel are adding up quickly, and it’s overwhelming to manage all of this while focusing on my daughter’s recovery. We would also be grateful for any help that allows my husband to take a few days off work to spend more time with our daughter during her recovery.
