I'm starting a fundraiser for my 75-year-old father. My father is in need of a new furnace and A/C system. His furnace went out recently and as it also controls his A/C, we need to replace it before it starts getting too warm outside.

We found someone to do the work, but it will cost $6,000 to replace the system. He's on a fixed social security income with health issues, and I've exhausted every other effort to get him help. If you've ever had to deal with the system, you know how it is. He's unable to finance the repairs, and due to my own financial situation, I am unable to help with getting him a loan. Living in a mobile home exempts him from the majority of other areas of assistance, as we've continuously been told none of the resources available work on or help fund mobile homes repairs. As much as we hate to ask, this is our last option.
