My dad was diagnosed with an accelerated form of Parkinson’s a couple of years ago, and our family has been doing everything we can to support him. A couple of weekends ago, he suddenly lost the ability to walk, which has made it impossible for him to take care of himself. My mom, despite her own health issues, steps up tirelessly every day to make sure he can stay in the comfort of their home, but things are getting more challenging as his condition progresses.
If we can raise money, the funds would help us buy the medical equipment needed to assist in moving him and provide home care. On top of losing the ability to walk, his muscles have deteriorated so much that even his eyelids get stuck shut throughout the day. Even small comforts, like a cooked meal or a friendly visit, would mean the world to him and help boost his spirits during this difficult time.
I cannot express how much this support would help our family, especially my mom, who carries so much on her shoulders. Any kind of support—whether it’s a donation, a meal, or just a kind word—would be a huge blessing and help us keep my dad at home and comfortable as we process how to move forward. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who is willing to help our family out.
